Since the Mindmeld mixers are incredibly popular I consider their behaviour the defacto standard. Therefor I wanted to implement the same logic for the mute and solo buttons with modifier keys (CTRL/CMD+SHIFT or CTRL/CMD alone) in my chained mixer. When trying it out in MixMaster (or MixMaster Jr.) the behaviour I see does not line up with the documentation or with what I saw in Omri Cohen’s video about MixMaster.
Supposedly if you have multiple muted channels and click an unmuted channel with CTRL/CMD+SHIFT held down, all other channels should be unmuted and the clicked channel should be muted. But when I try it, the channel I click stays unmuted. If I click one out of many muted channels with CTRL/CMD+SHIFT held down, all channels should be unmuted, but in fact all channels are unmuted except the one I clicked, which stays muted. Basically the state of the clicked button always stays the same, which is the opposite state from what I expected.
Now, I am confused which behaviour I should implement in my chained mixer. Can someone try it out and report how it behaves in MixMaster on their machine? Is this maybe a known issue in Mindmeld? Am I doing something wrong? Am I misunderstanding something? Am I hallucinating?![]()
Thanks for any advice.
