I’m running the VST version of Rack 2 in FL Studio. I’d like to be able to create automation tracks in FL studio to control various knobs/parameters in the VCV instance. Is there a way to do this?
Yes, there is. Create your patch in the VCV instance, then click on the arrow near the gear of the VCV plugin frame. That will show a menu. Click on Browse Parameters, then right click on the named parameter you want an automation clip on, then select ‘Create automation clip’

Yup, I believe also if you tweak a parameter while the browser is open it will auto-select that parameter even in VCV so you can find it quickly. For whatever reason most of the resources I’ve seen on FL automation suggest you tweak in plugin first and then automate “last-tweaked”, which is really a redundancy and not the intended way to modulate parameters in FL.
