Is there a reference for linking media?

I’ve noticed a quirk in the community board. If this is because I didn’t RTFM, I’ll read the FM.

If I include a bare link to an mp3 file, it embeds a player in the message.

If I have text on the line before the link it displays the link. https://cornwarning.com/chaircrusher/Chaircrusher-CrabCanon.mp3

I don’t know if there is a FM, but the same is true for YouTube videos. Probably the same for PatchStorage links as well, but I can’t remember for sure. I just roll with it.

You can also put a link in preformatted text. That is the most annoying because you can’t click on the link, you have to copy it.

And you can really get jiggy and hyperlink to it if you like.

Doc - it hurts when I …

You need a blank line before embedded media.

I figured that out by experimentation.

Is the markdown language for this message board documented somewhere?
