Introducing sosci, the super-realistic software oscilloscope!

Sosci is now available for VCV Rack!

The same super-realistic oscilloscope that has existed for a while as a VST is now available in Rack. It comes with two different modules, and supports full XYRGB input, as well as polyphonic input!

There are two modules included:

  • sosci: A classic, hardware-style oscilloscope module complete with glow, stereo delay, fade, intensity, and gain knobs.
  • sosci-wide: A wider module focused entirely on the beautiful vector visuals without the hardware interface.

Both versions support full XYRGB inputs to create stunning, full-color oscilloscope music and visuals.

Check out the release trailer here to see it in action:

You can get it now for $20 over at the VCV Library: https://library.vcvrack.com/sosci

Let me know what you think, and I can’t wait to see what you create with it!

Cheers!

Congrats - very pretty.

The website for the VST version says: “Brightness Input. Z channel support for variable brightness and intensity”

Is that available in the VCV Rack version ?

Looks gorgeous. I wouldn’t normally consider spending money on a visual only module, but this one is mighty tempting.

Will the OSCI-Render, Rotate, and/or 3D->2D be released? They look interesting as well.

Yes! Well kinda - you can input the same signal to RGB channels and this is the same as having a Z input to control the brightness

It’s very pretty if I say so myself

I might be releasing the osci-render modules in the future… I’ll have to see when I get the time to finish them off
