Idiotic problem

Trying to run the “retail” version of VCV on an old mac. the manual says download, unzip, move to applications. I do that, but it gives me a message that it can’t find the resource folder.

What am I doing wrong?

(fwiw, I can build VCV from source on this machine, and it works fine)

Some things to try? (Not in any order.)

  1. Copy it to /Applications instead of moving it.
  2. OK the resource message and try to launch it again.
  3. Move it out of /Applications and back again.
  4. Do the right click and Open shuffle.
