I need help - problem opening a file in VCV v1

I am trying to open a patch file but I get this error:

JSON parsing error at 1:1 ‘[’ or ‘{’ expected near ‘(’

Any ideas whats the problem??

It seems to be that the file isn’t in the right format. Are you sure it’s a patch file?

This can occur when trying to open a VCV 2 file in VCV 1

This problem still occurs in 2024. Enable full disk access in privacy tab in security & privacy for vcv rack. Note i was using vcv rack 2.
