How do you get ASSprdr working?

I am comparing two different stereo spreaders, PolySpread by stocaudio and ASSprdr by Mockba Modular.

In the attached example patch, a panned signal is routed in three different ways: direct, through PolySpread and through ASSprdr. The trigger button of btn can be used to switch audio routings, and VU-meters show the (pre-switch) levels.

While I get the expected effect with PolySpread, ASSprdr only seems to produce a mono signal, no matter what the spread knob is set to.

I believe it works with polyphonic signals, so spreading a polyphonic mix in a stereo field
