one of my fav organic noise/soundscaper ever made is
lazyfish’s “h e i s h e r e”, a feedback FM-based and saturation patch
that could sound like monkeys dancing in the zoo or
like a broken sax improvisation. insanely deep and versatile and low on cpu…
for Reaktor users or for the interested to take the challenge to replicate this in VCVRack
with modules we have… it won’t be easy. even if you can see the guts of it in Reaktor,
it’s highly esoteric…
if one wants to research this, its a fascinating piece of sound history.
if any results, please share with us. I wasnt able to replicate it (and I tried)…
thank you!
lazyfish’s creations are meshmerizing … h e i s h e r e is one of my favourite ensembles as well. Another one is the Skrewell predecessor TG-8H … pure genius!
Dark Energy is a good choice for the AM/Ringmod voice. Such a wide variety of tones. I haven’t found much info about how the sound generation part works but I did gather from a forum post that there was a vector mixer ‘block’ used so I installed HetrickCV’s “Vector Mix” and played around with it a bit.
and self patch the output back into the tz-fm and sync and play around with the timbre and pitch. It makes groaning, screeching, chirping sounds and it’s been one of my favorite noisemakers.
