HELP: VCA will open using keyboard but not MIDI arrangement

This is confusing as hell to me. I’m using VCV 2 in Ableton. The VCA will open when I play my MIDI keyboard and use that signal as a gate but not when the VCA gate is triggered by the MIDI arrangement. How do I fix this?

In Ableton there’s the FabFilter Timeless VST before the VCV Rack VST. Could it be that the Timeless VST is eating up the MIDI events, so that no MIDI events arrive at the VCV Rack VST? What happens when the VCV Rack VST is the first plugin on the track’s VST-chain?

Sadly that didn’t work. Good thought tho!

I ended up using the out from the oscillator as the gate trigger. Same difference.
