GretchenV - Patches, experiments and releases

I love the stark, minimalist vibe. Cool piece!

An elongated and rearranged version of Helen’s Theme by Philip Glass from the score for the movie Candyman. At least the first movement.

Builds up slow to strangely unsatisfying crescendo and finale.

5 melody voices (all geodesics energy with some modulation, filtering and effects, 1 background sample of crowd noise and 2 percussive effects from 1 trummor2. The melody voices are all sequences in a cascade of sequencers … The percussive effects are somewhat random and in a meter different than the 4/4 of the main.

The video is just a random collection of videos of crowds

Awesome!!

My entry to VCP challenge #77: imagine.

In this somewhat generative patch, I’ve used 2 imagine modules from pachde, filled them with an image of an insect on a flower and set them to random walk. I use the output to control the pitch of the main voice and a selection of drum patterns and harmonizing sequences based of a chord progression. Other outputs of the imagine modules are used to modulate the qualities of the voices using sample and hold modules. Voices are tuned in C minor.

Mostly free modules (except maybe the two VCV Snare and VCV Ride?)

The video is just the patch playing.
