I came to VCV Rack looking for classic synth sounds, and found those in spades. Then found the wavetable oscillators and some new exciting sounds.
Then I found granular synthesis and in particular Voxglitch’s Grain Engine Mk2 and wow just wow. The ability to shape new sounds out of old and found sounds and use them musically. This is really something, Mixing familiar instruments with unique sounds, that’s where it’s at for me and this module is the key to that door.
Yes there are granular VSTs but having a module in rack puts you in the driving seat.
