He was my second favorite Van Halen. RIP.
The world of music and guitar playing, not to mention guitar design, looks vastly different before and after EVH. That’s some serious influence.

Not really my kind of music, but he invented a totally new way to play the electric guitar. That’s no small thing.

Yeah, he was a giant. Still remember being completely blown away by the first two Van Halen albums, and Eddie’s playing was a very big part of it. I still love both dearly and return to them regularly. RIP Eddie…
