Is there a module in the library that can sequence a percussion source with the ability to chain patterns and use micro timing and ratcheting? Looking for something to help the rolls of hats and lets me draw in sequences from scratch rather than have them generated automatically, I know of some piano roll modules or something like Hexaquark but they don’t have the exact ratchets per step kind of thing or the ability to mix multiple sized notes and go into very short note divisions. Just need something to keep me in VCV without relying on the digital workstation to send the specific sequence via midi to the plugin
You can try Picus. It doesn’t do micro timing. But it’ll give you interesting burst patterns.
Oh, another one you might like is StepWave, it can do the microtimings AND ratcheting, but it only does multiples and 8 stages. For this one, click the ‘link’ button on the left, then set the ratchets with the BEATS knobs. Microtimings can be adjusted with the Rhythmic Displacement knobs.

Groovebox ratchets hard core, shorten the end points of the samples to get tight modern ratchets and pitch the samples with pattern lock controls.

As close as you can get to a DAW-like piano roll in VCV.
Drummer can do per step ratcheting. 25 phrases that can be chained in order, randomly or addressable by CV. Microtiming to some degree with per channel/pattern swing and step resolution. (Or I guess you can just turn off snapping to grid and drag a beat off grid).
Timeline can also handle drum clips, with swing per phrase per channel per clip.

This is a great option, I just need the ability to chain modulation patterns in a sequence, this might only repeat unless you randomize it, this should have “banks” so you can switch between the wave sequence and pulse width too, maybe you can expand upon this in a premium module? If this one is already so powerful, imagine a 16 version with the ability to modulate the shape and beats parameters individually without a μmidi module connected to those knobs… I’d totally buy it if it wasn’t an addition to your modulations bundle and it ends up free for customers who already got the bundle earlier
Oh I knew I was missing something… I guess I should probably suck it up and give my wallet another beating… it practically broke a leg the other day and sprained the other one, now it’s probably gonna get a black eye… plus I should just buy as much now while they’re on sale so I don’t have to buy later and spend more or have to wait a whole year
I’ll take a look at this one, there might even be a video from Omri to accompany it, I usually prefer to wait for him to upload for the new modules and see how they work with video demonstration, it gives me inspiration
You can use ShapeMaster as a gate sequencer and draw in any pattern you want. You can even do ghost notes and fills with it. Check out the Jakub’s sequencing tutorial where he covers drum sequencing with it and you can also save and chain patterns.

Whoa there, I think I’ve spent enough this week on VCV alone, I do have a tab for this saved so I can watch out for next year’s sale, but if the current one doesn’t end immediately at midnight November 30th and gives the 1st the day I’ll buy the shapemaster pro. I’ve already exceeded my budget for the moment so I may watch this and decide later if this is worth just getting now so I don’t have to spend more later if I get some extra cash later, I think I can still try this with the free version so I could probably get it going. I did buy the entrian bundle so maybe I might not need this other module as much
