DocB Pad2 in VST

I love DocB Pad2, but I have noticed something strange when using it in Rack VST. In a project, I’ll create a simple setup, Midi to CC to Pad2, it plays perfectly. Then close the project, and open it again, and Pad2 won’t play until I actually open the VST.

I don’t think this is a bug, I think it might have something to do with the fact that Pad2 does not do anything until you plug something into the V/oct input. Which is a nice feature. But in the patch, I have it plugged in.

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, and has figured out some kind of workaround? I’m using Studio One, but I don’t think its DAW specific.

My current workaround: Make a note to remind myself to open the VST before I hit play. :smiley: which has been working fine for me so far so not a big issue.

Yes i have reproduced this. I will look into that, my first guess is that some initialization code (i.e. the function onAdd) from the Pad2 module isn’t called until the VCVRack GUI is opened.
