My second entry for the CVFunk August challenge. This one uses Glass in audio in excitation mode. I tried same with Aulos, but no sound unless it’s gated/enveloped in.
Here is the patch, Patchstorage still refuses to let me upload a .vcv file, stating it is unsupported, yet lists it as acceptable. shrug

Ha, I just came here to read a bit about Sands before buying it. Do I now postpone that
?
Anyways, count me in! There’s barely a patch I make these days without Alloy.
(I am extremely used to having my Host FX module however. But that’s sound cosmetics.)
So. Here’s an entry. Another one - for me - with Alloy (and friends). I’m kinda drawn to broken, frail weirdness these days:
This isn’t entirely free modules, but it will play just fine without the three instances of HOST and VST effects (two of which will cost you nothing;).
Hey folks!
Here’s my patch for the challenge — as an actual guitarist, I figured I’d try recreating one with STRINGS and ALLOY instead…
Imagine playing (badly) your electric guitar in front of a cranked amp — distortion and feedback are your friends.

How about some Johann Sebastian Bach:
This is just the intro, if anyone wants to volunteer to edit the whole piece in Entrian, feel free (and share it when you’re done). Unfortunately a MIDI import doesn’t work without a lot of hand editing since the main melody is all monophonic on channel 1 to achieve those down-glides back to the drone whereas the chords towards the end are polyphonic.
Here is the patch (using the free version of Entrian Melody):
Enjoy!
Here are some Inebriated Angels.
These Angels must have had too much sacrilegious wine, or whatever. Aulos, Haze, Alloy, Glass. No filtering going on whatsoever, this is just the modules with a bit of cross-patching.
Since Patchstorage still seems to hate me when trying to upload a `.vcv` patch archive it states it supports, I will leave it here:

OK my last entry I promise. All voices are again CVfunk with some undergoing extensive processing with other modules.
Celestial Radiance
This was no easy challenge, but it came with loads of fun and learnings. Many thanks to @codyge!
The patch is made up of seven voices using ten different CV funk modules: Cartesia, Glass, Wonk, Triton, Ouros, Penta Sequencer, Hammer, Strata, Decima and Aulos.
I wanted to create a generative ambient tessellation that meanders through the heavens like water in a rivulet. The CV funk sequencers are perfect for that!
Penta Sequencer, Cartesia and Strata for pitch. Hammer as a clock source and divider. Ouros and Glass as oscillators, Aulos for percussive elements. Decima as a trigger sequencer. Wonk as LFO. Triton as filter. Sounds are woven into one another using phase-shifted ShapeMaster (MindMeld) tracks.
Your feedback is always tremendously welcome.
Thank you all for participating!! WOW, I am just totally blown away by all of your creative patches! I had so much fun listening to them all.
There is just 1 Week left in the contest. ![]()
I will count up the votes on the evening of Aug31 (CET), so be sure to upvote all your favorite entries in the forum posts before!
*In the event of a tie, I will consider your 2nd+ entries.
Another one. Step Wave, Strata, Weave & Ouros. Steps & Tatami. Bursts of Tri Delay:
Step Wave for a stumbling, rhythmic bed to advance Strata into XM-OP. More Step Waves for undulating modulations. Bits and bobs. Add chords to taste. Basically.
A thing I noticed, @codyge : I can’t seem to select Weave’s first chord, the Oct one, through CV?
@purf Yes, that’s a weird quirk in Weave. I remember it was a compromise so that the same CV will give the same chords on my older CVfunk modules.
Wow super patch!!
My first time participating in a challenge. At first I planned to have something with a beat, but it turned more… Ambient?
I’m not sure if this would be correctly described as ambient, but either way it turned out nicer than I expected!
Probably best listened to with headphones, since I made it using headphones, and I don’t have speakers to see how it sounds ![]()
No problem, CV-MAP took care of it
And thanks! For your modules as well!
