CV to midi - problem sending clock data to a drum machine via usb

Hi, Ive recently ventured into the world of hardware and have been trying to integrate it with VCV rack and have been encountering some problems. My beringer RD-6 which as you might know dosent have a tempo display so I thought I could send clock data to it via a usb midi cable and run clocked though the CV>midi module. The problem is its terribly out of time (speeding up and slowing down etc).

Some fixes I’ve tried… Making sure clocked is in the correct ppqn (pusles per quater note) to match the Rd-6 (24ppqn). Syncing the start and stop of the machine by using the push module to start the clock and the rd-6 at the same time. Dropping the sample rate of rack to put less strain on my cpu (my computer shouldnt be struggling with this)

Something interesting/confusing things that are happening are that seven pulses from the clocked module advances the rd-6 one beat (this cant be good) so I have to use a bunch of multiplying. (Maybe the massive amout of pulses is stressing either my computer or rd-6)

And when I add a midi to cv module to the patch, note even plugged into anything everything speeds up a bunch.

Nothing makes sense! Any help would be greatly appreciated
