wanna use the gamepad as a pitchbend and other mod uses (triggers and sorts), i figured out that one can use a VCA with the OCT module to create a pitchbend effect, It’s not working the exact way I want it to, but its pitchbending. I was wondering if it was possible to change (more accurately, invert) how VCV interprets the gamepad inputs, more specifically the right joystick (for pitchbend) i wish to make it so that if I move the stick further from the center it pitches lower (or the VCA voltage goes down), currently it acts as if the center is zero (when its moving) and the closer to the middle bottom you go the closer to 100 it reaches.
TL:DR- how do I change how VCV interprets gamepad inputs?
so i tried that and all it seems to do is mess with how the VCA deals with the pitch, nothing to do with the controller itself, is there a way to edit how VCV approaches midi controllers (aka keyboards) as I would assume the technology is very similar, also attached is a picture of my current setup
If you’re using a PS5 DualSense or PS4 DualShock controller, you could try a program like DS4 Windows which let’s you customize a tonne of options for the controllers. Not sure if it’ll have exactly what you want but you can give it a try.
This way you’ll be working around VCV Rack & not other way around of trying to get VCV rack to work around game controllers.
