CPU overloaded!! OSX

No. Minimum threads does not equal best performance - or at least only up to a point.

The more threads you add, the bigger your patch can get.

But don’t use more threads than you need for your patch (only add threads when your patch is straining current thread amount) and be aware you need to leave threads unused for system and anything else you have open. How much you need to leave will depend on what else you have running alongside VCV.

In short, only use the threads you need based on the size of your patch.

until you get “clicks and cracks”. then you know that it’s time to add 1 thread.

be sure to have the same value of sample rate in the “Audio” module, in the “Engine” menu, AND in the audio driver/device, otherwise the cpu consumption goes sky high!

That seems to be the way this particular software is written. From a software point of view that looks like a bug rather then a feature. I’m starting to get a hang of using open source software

I’ve muted your account for 2 weeks. If you’d like to come back later, do it with an improved attitude.
