Hey All
The font size in Rack2Free is tiny, I can hardly read it. (e.g. menu items)
I have no settings.json file anywhere to speak of
nor do I have a VCV / Rack2 file in my /documents folder either
I did create a settings.json file in the main VCV\Rack2Free folder where I launch the application, but it had no effect.
How can I increase the UI size?
Also might be a good idea to have a UI size setting in the settings.
I assume many people have that issue.
notes:
yes I launched VCV Rack2, still no file
no I’m not editing the file while program is running

You should be able to change the UI size via the top menu. “View → UI Scale” (just above the zoom slider).
Look in the folder presented by clicking “help → open user folder” for settings.json

There is no such menu point in “view”.
I run v. 2.5.2

If you don’t want to update to the new 2.6.3 version which has this :
You can change the pixelratio in the settings.json found via “help → open user folder”

ok
next problem, the DL of new version is flagged in windows. It marks it as harmful software.
98% sure that is a false positive and it happens every time. Any other anti-virus than builtin Windows Defender is itself considered harmful software.

Happens always on Windows, because VCV doesn’t sign the installer.
Just click through the prompts to allow it. Annoying, but you don’t have to install rack that often.

Just moved to a laptop for most patching and really digging the UI scale control. My eyes are getting older and I need the help! The tooltips esp jump out as easy to read!
