Well howdy there internet people. I want to route the sound from firefox to the VCV Rack Record module to record audio from there. Is it possible? I have a laptop with no special audio interface. I tried for a long time but ultimately gave up, cause I am dumb. haha!
Looks like you’re on Windows, right? Get a free utility called VB cable. Set your main audio output to VB out (in the system tray), then set the driver in VCV to VB in. I’ve used this to record audio from a YouTube browser tab into Audacity, and also to record from the PureData standalone app. I can test it later, but it should work the same.
