Was just thinking about this today. Would be great addition for utilities just like hardware
I say this often, but I think support for 1U would be a cool feature for rack V3.
I second the enthusiasm about a module that will combine three smaller modules and maybe even lets you choose from a handful of options for each of the three slots within.
If hyper configurable user interfaces like patchmaster are possible there’s a real possibility that someone from this amazing dev community can pull this of.
Reason i think it’s a good idea is that developers often times include multiple copies of the same function in a module (think Bernoulli gate) because there’s so much space on the panel.
However to „tidy up“ the patches I end up with a couple of these modules around the rack but only ever use one of the in/out pairs.
But I need a lot of s&h, vca and Bernoulli gates, so this would come in really handy.
Same reason the super tiny bogaudio modules are popular (like LLFO, my most used module).
What would be on your list for the module functionality selection?
- LFO
- S&H
- VCA
- Probability
- POLY SUM
- Trigger to Gate?
logic gates, flipflop, gate to trig
min max sum diff
DJ filter, crossfader, switch
wavefolder, clipper, limiter
I think to sell the illusion you need two 1HP bars extending to the top, with four empty screw holes 2/3 up for the “missing” submodules.
Otherwise, what’s keeping the top of the submodule from falling in?
You may also need a stackable ribbon cable going to the bus connectors. Or not. Just say it’s connected by HandWavium™ cables.
