Thanks just picked up Tapestry now, might I have missed that one.

JW Grains is no slouch either.

Long time user of Path Set Spork for granular spray as well as Panther Cap.

it’s good cholesterol is pretty wild as well, lots of playheads

Call me old-fashioned but I’ve never met a granular plugin more playable than Fruity Granulizer, and I’ve tried a lot of them.

Grainer is fantastic, but has anyone noticed it causing clicks/pops? It’s not overloading the CPU, seems to be on the audio output. I didn’t notice it on percussive sounds, but on pads it’s driving me nuts.

Perhaps this could help?

Context Menu¶ Soft clip — Toggle soft clipping on the output (Soft clip default: OFF)

Thanks, but that was off already. I’ve tried all the options and can’t seem to get rid of it.

It’s really frustrating because it sounds great, but once you’ve noticed the clicking, you can’t ‘un-hear’ it. Now it’s ruined the effect for me!

EDIT: Deleted the module and added it back in, that seemed to help. You can hear what it’s doing here, not entirely happy with this but uploaded it anyway!

share your thoughts with the developer to see if he can fix it

refactalizer effect vst by datamind audio looks amazing but expensive at $150 for the vocals to percussion beat thing on the demo

I am reeeally enjoying this new FX version, most especially the ability to process/interpolate between multiple live and/or sample buffers… think ‘granular-wavetable’. Time-stretching, beat slicing, tons of on-board modulation, sidechaining (on-board fx & filters are fine, but we’ve got so many better external options). Haven’t even touched MIDI control yet. I’ve been deep diving for a couple days and see so many pearls. (not affiliated)

Hi, I’m the developer of Grainer.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry about the issue!

After seeing your post, I looked into it and made some fixes to the module. It seems that previously, it could sometimes read from the edges of the buffered audio, which caused discontinuities and resulted in clicking noise.

I’ve improved this behavior in the latest version as much as possible, so I hope you’ll give it another try.

Thanks again for using Grainer, and thanks for the great video!

Hello, that’s amazing I haven’t even reported it yet! Many thanks for looking at the issue, I’ve just updated to 2.0.5 and will test it tomorrow. It really is a great sounding module, cheers!
