Hey there! I’m Nathan, what’s up. Native of Bristol, UK, currently living in Barcelona, Spain and have spent some time in Bogota DC, Colombia, in between. As a kid I learned drums (classically trained), guitar and bass (self-taught), and started out playing in bands of all kinds in my teens. I had a really lucky run from leaving college to my late 20’s where I was running a music tuition business, while playing 3/4/5 gigs a week (inc. lots of tribute bands and wedding/corporate type stuff) and was just about putting food on the table. These days, I prefer to play music out of the necessity of love, not money. So now I stick to one (originals) band that I really enjoy, and the rest of my “creative time” is split between VCV and other similar modular patching/DIY DSP environments. As a result, I’ve now got a huge passion for Audio DSP analysis, software engineering and design, analogue modelling, and especially in community-based learning and collaboration.

All that has lead me here, to the VCV community, where I’m hoping to get on board with some testing, offer up some ideas and feedback, but mostly to observe and hopefully follow along and learn a bit from some of the peers of this excellent community.
