Hi everyone. Inverted-Popes here coming to you from a small coastal town somewhere in the deep south of the UK. Some years ago I bought my first synth (a clue Korg M500 Micro Preset brand new cash on desk) and the journey began. Whilst all around me were dashing off to play drums or guitar I was drawn to the crazy world of synthesis. I have owned or played many classic synths in my time but eventually I was drawn into the computer world and the DAW. Nothing wrong with that but I did miss hands on, the tactile. Took me ages to realise this and eventually I turned back to the hardware namely a Moog Mother 32 that gave me everything I seemed to need. I realised that of course I have been patching for years as I owned and still do a Korg MS10 (could not afford the MS20) with its patch panel. Then I discovered VCV Rack and that was the answer to my prayers and with the release of V1.0 and midi-CV, CV-midi, midi-CC the world has opened up. I am fairly new to VCV and there are a lot of people out there doing some amazing stuff with the software and via the various forums I have met a lot of inspiring people. I have a YouTube channel that has my VCV Rack noodlings and other synthesis based projects, like building my own modular system.
