Tosca is/was the second project of Richard Dorfmeister, following his Kruder & Dorfmeister project.
Both projects inline with the Chill-out trend of the day, pioneered by the DJ’s of Café del Mar in Ibiza. Still on the forefront of Chill-out and still running a dedicated Radio station: Café del Mar - Radio

The album cover of the (great) K&D G-Stoned EP (1993) is a reference to the album cover of the Simon & Garfunkel album Bookends (1968)
