very noisy static like output

I am using the template that VCV launches with. The sounds are really staticy like their is a loose cord. I am using a midi keyboard. It is an older laptop. So maybe that has something to do with it. The OS is up to date.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Iā€™m guessing that laptop has an integrated GPU. Only discrete GPUs are supported. See https://vcvrack.com/manual/FAQ#how-do-i-improve-performance-of-vcv-rack
