Apologies if this has been asked before – is it possible in VCV Host to assign incoming MIDI data to specific channels? It looks like MIDI is assigned to channel 1 by default.
I think 1 person has recommended this before. What’s your use case?
I would like to use one instance of Kontakt with multiple sample libraries loaded. This requires assigning a different channel to each library. I could get the same result by loading multiple instances of Kontakt, but that would be more CPU-intensive.
More generally, multitimbral VSTs (such as Kontakt or UVI Falcon) require multiple MIDI input channels for multiple sounds.
