I was making a simple patch with the idea to train in counterpoint and other music fundamentals, so trying to make a kinda randomly evolving tenor voice or something. I thought making a feedback loop with HarMoNee by Bacon Music could do the trick. I didn’t want it to be too random, so I used a 8-1 switch to gate the kind of intervals I wanted to be the most frequent and trained on them. So the sequence wouldnt be endlessly going up or down, I added the Fence module, to keep it between a certain range.
Now I’d expect this to function fairly ok, but I encountered a problem : instead of being capped at the fence limit, the sequence loops in a kind of endless triangle shape (cf scope). Which it is not supposed to do : when reaching the bottom of the fence, it should logically stop there, until the HarMoNee switch for upwards gets turned on again.
What would be causing this loop ? Is it the self modulation of HarMoNee pushing the module to its limit ? Is it a functionnality of the fence module ?
