I get the following error when trying to run the rack executable on centos 8: error while loading shared libraries: libjack.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. When i run sudo locate libjackserver.so and libjack.so, they both show up under /var/lib/snapd/snap/gnome-3-28-1804/128/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu , but when i try adding that path to /etc/ld.so.conf with “include /var/lib/snapd/snap/gnome-3-28-1804/128/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu” and running ldconfig i still get the same error.
it looks that jack library is part of the gnome snap package and thus not available in general on the system - maybe search if you find jack in a native pacakge format (should bemaybe rpm or whatever it is nowadays in centos) and install that
Is that an error, or just a warning? I didn’t think jack was required to run VCV, but I’m not sure.
it’s an error. i’ll try to install the rpm.
