The Steampunk Grill: my drone for Drone Day 2026

I did make a drone for Drone Day 2026; but everything has been misbehaving :S (Thanks, Nvidia  ) so… 2 days later :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, if you would like to listen to it… here it is

No video of the patch in action this time, just a simple visualizer; but here’s a picture of the patch itself:

This patch uses some of my new toys and new features roaming the Nightlies and some of the new toys by others

Some of the fun I had when creating this patch was bending some modules to coerce them to do stuff not readily apparent:

  • The clock is a Temulenti instance (the start of this patch was the patch I posted previously as an example of the Molten Bypass trick for, say, drums). I tried replacing it with a more “normal” clock; but nothing got the feel I wanted… so I kept it. It can start and stop via CV and the Freeze input, so it can be readily controlled.

  • Velamina is used both as a saturator and a mixer (the saturated output can be patched to another channel of the module to control the now extremely loud sound).

  • Alchemist is used as a sequencer rather than a mixer… I needed something to control patch parts with MIDI and nothing that I know of / found / wanted to learn fit the bill… so… why not use my own?
