Chaos is an interesting phenomenon / modulation source to study, consider how popular NLC Sloths is these days. I have read through how Ian Fritz’s module works in his website and created this simple wavefolder chaos patch as proof of concept.
It seems that chaos can created easily with a non-linear element + damper. I used a wavefolder as the non-linear element and slew limiter as a damper here. More complex chaos can be achieved by chaining multiple non-linear element + damper together in series / parallel.
I also did a slightly more complex version of wavefolder chaos with it cycling from sub-audio rate to audio rate.
