I felt the need for some quite slow envelopes, not to be used for individual tones but for other purposes. Frozen Wasteland’s “Seriously slow envelope generator” seemed to tick all the boxes. I want envelopes with time scales from seconds to minutes (not yet found the need for months) so this seems to be a good candidate. The problem is, however, that I can’t get the envelope to start. I have tried alternating between “trig” and “gate” and testing triggers and gates as input in each setting, but nothing seems to trigger the envelope.
Has anyone ever got this module to work? What black magic is required?
I have never used it before, but I just did some very brief testing. All my stage time units were in seconds.
The Trigger mode seems to be bugged unless the Delay is 0.
If in trigger mode and the Delay is >0, then the delay time seems to steal from the other stages. Once delay is >=1 second, then I guess the other stages becomes instantaneous, so nothing happens. (all just a guess).
But if in gate mode, then it seems to work fine.
Also if Delay is 0 then all seems fine regardless whether trigger or gate mode.
the only thing I can add to Dave’s reply is that in trigger mode the Hold value must be > than Delay to get it work. must be bugged or not explained in the manual
My one and only regret (so far) regarding dev support & investment in VCV was donating to FW. But I guess in the grand scheme of things, I’ve burned larger sums on worse things.
