Hey guys, I need your help. I recently installed VCV 2, and I seem to have more noise in my recordings than with the same patches in VCV 1. It’s not too bad but I can hear the difference. In my patches I use the Audio-8 module (as master audio module), and for recording the REC module to wav file. Mixer either cf or Mindmeld.
I tried both 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sample rate (bit depth 16bit/24 bit, block size 1024/2048/4096). I have a fairly old 13 inch 2017 MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 RAM, Intel Iris Plus 640 with 1536 MB integrated graphics lol).
Maybe I just need to upgrade my computer to one with a dedicated graphics card. Or do you think an audio interface might help? (I searched the forums but read conflicting answers)
I want to lower the noise floor. If anyone had a similar experience I would really appreciate your input!
