Hi is there a way to use the Daws track mute button to mute vcv rack vst?

Is the Audio module in your instance set to DAW audio input/output? If it is then muting the DAW track that holds the plugin should work.

Thanks that did it! Although I notice the output is not as lush as it was in normal speaker output. Not sure if its the asio drivers or what. Definately Plateau lost a lot when switching it

Can’t say I’ve noticed that, my standalone sounds same as from the DAW. Are you on Mac or Windows?

I got confirmation its an issue with Plateau
