Rack Bug Reports: Please Read before posting

Vortico recently relaxed the rules on the posting of Rack bug reports (and feature requests) here (and in other social spaces). This was done primarily to allow users to check with each other whether their problem was local or global before posting an issue to Rack’s GitHub.

What should you do if you think you have found a bug and want to find out if others are experiencing the same problem?

  1. Find out if a bug report has already been posted on GitHub: https://github.com/VCVRack/Rack/issues

  2. Browse recent posts on the forum and/or search the forum to see if anything similar has been posted already. Comment on an existing thread; don’t start a new one.

  3. Only if the above has failed should you consider posting about it here but note that it remains the case that Vortico will not respond to bug reports here (and may not even read them).

  4. If you disregard all of the above and skip to this step please go back and continue reading from step 1.

If you want to be sure that Vortico will see and consider your issue then you need to follow the procedure here: https://vcvrack.com/manual/FAQ.html#i-found-a-bug
