Rack 2 Crashes every time I type "fi" when attempting to search for filters

Rack 2 Crashes every time I type “fi” when attempting to search for filters. Is there a known issue? Is there a known fix?

OS and version of OS?
Version of Rack? Free/Pro? Standalone/VST?

Can you post the tail end of your log.txt after a crash? My guess is that one of the modules you have installed is causing the crash. A common bug is for a module’s “widget” class to not handle rendering itself as a preview. The log.txt should help narrow that down quickly.

Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1 (but was doing it on the previous version too).

Paid version of VCV, crashing on both the stand alone and the plugin when I type"fi" to search for filters.

Hi cosinekitty, thanks for your help please see below, I assume this line “dyld_process_snapshot_create_for_process failed with 5” refers to the problem you suggest.

The Rack log should tell you which module is causing the problem.

Hi @spdhalligan, like @TroubledMind said, in order to help you figure out which module is causing the crash, we really need to see the log.txt file produced by VCV Rack itself. This file is located in your Rack user folder.
