Day 5. Tried to compose some Digitakt ambient and then didn’t. Couldn’t. Instead, this little piece with a Microfreak ep/key patch I came up with. VCV to fuse some mechanical and felt noises into the sound and Valhalla Supermassive for - a first time with this fx! - a tiny, short reverb.
Jamuary 09, 10 & 11 (the VCV ones)
Can’t believe I had never done a phase shifting thing before. Also, this is a love letter to the Echasketchoscope.
Older patch, basically, from a year ago, but Jamuary has, so far, put me in a working mode and I should revisit things much more often. Now with beats and noodling.
Really liking jamuary 10
I’ve only ever made two covers - and one was a “Silent Night” Christmas Special - but this was an obvious one, eventually.
Nice !
Jamuary 13 - 15

An old patch, new. Music for Succulents
I had totally slept on the 4ms modules! Not sure I’ll have much use for the Ensemble Oscillator, but the Delay ones are amazing! Sparkly!
Ooohhh… 14 is really nice, lovely Eno’esque sensibility to it.
Jamuary 16
from an old sketch, the Cizzle and Arp’d FM-OP part. But now made jammable, with Kickall and some beats (handcrafted with the Entrian Drummer & Acoustic Drums, I gotta make more of these, for the choppity chop machine)
(wondering now, if I couldn’t have used just one @clone45 Autobreak Studio, with the sample and then the same sample again but twice as long in a 2nd slot, then switch within the module and per step, which could be nice…)
Man that sounds awesome! I’m definitely getting some Boards of Canada vibes. Brilliant
This is fantastic. It feels so lively.
An old patch - from a VCP Tides challenge? - that I’ve wanted to re-record for a while.
Another unsteady ARP - I love those, it seems - but via Microfreak.
That’s a nice one!
I thoroughly enjoyed all three!
And these are from maybe longest time I’ve happily spent with one rack/setup over the weekend! A particularly nice set of constraints meet possibilities. (Might throw in the Keystep to independently play the Strega however)
Wow! Exceptional work as always!
One with Dave’s version of the Subharmonicon. I’m not doing much here, just savouring the sounds. And yes, I had played with it quite a bit and arranged it somewhat tighter in the process. Also a placeholder for Keyboard input. It’s super fun, that thing.
An older one that had only existed in Youtube’s Shorts. Rotated it today.
From the series Fun With Scopes.
