Hello all,
just a confused vcv musician trying to understand something. After a bit of a rest I opened up VCV rack to be greeted with the message “Could not find module LindenbergResearch/Westcoast_VCV”
OK, I can live with that but none of my patches will open now as they all give that message even if they don’t use the Westcoast_vcv. No patches will open at all.
And I don’t seem to be able to locate that module anywhere.Seems unavailable. OK, so how do I fix this. Is there a file somewhere i should edit? I’m dumbfounded.

Go here :
I have fixed and improved some issues and here is the Golden Master Version
(If there are no fatal errors it will be the first release version)
NOTES:
fixed non working filter-section of PreHeater
fixed wrong panel size of VC LowPass Filter
adapt naming, layout and design of VC LowPass Filter
make gain acting as volume knob in standalone RC mode, or without any Mode (OFF) at VC LowPass Filter
update about panels
add FILTER keyword to VC LowPass Filter
improve LED graphics
improved switch grap…
And download the file for windows, put it in the Rack2 plugins folder and start Rack. They should all be there again.

Hmmm… doesn’t work with Rack 2.3.0.
Brand is shown in the module browser but can’t be selected.
Linedenberg in particular has a bit of a tortured history with VCV 2. Contact them if you want to know more / get a version that will work for you.

Problem solved.
There was an entry for “LindenbergResearch” in the settings.json section “Favorites”.
Must have been an old entry.
Removed the entry and the directory from the plugins folder. Then re-imported the module.
All fine now.
Thanks for listening!

Something is wrong with the preview rendering in the library browser though.
Takes ~30s on a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. This is quite a time.
Other modules do not show this behavior.
And obviously the results are not cached. After restarting VCV it does the same.
This is VCV 2.3.0 on Win10 x64.

It’s something you have to deal with for now, on my PC it takes about 2 seconds, but I just wait patiently
He said he had fixed huge loading times , and indeed it was much longer, but it still takes some time.
I have noticed that since I installed the Beta, that there is a significant lag (10-13 seconds) the first time I load the plugin browser. After the first load, it’s fine until I re-open Rack. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
He really like those fancy panel graphics. And I guess other people do, too.

I really would like to know what kind of machine that is.
I’m able to run the latest games on mine, so don’t think it’s too slow.
And if it were only 2s I wouldn’t have said a word.
