Here’s another option. In a prototype window compare module I’ve been working on, the upper bound (blue) keeps allowing voltages below it, and the lower bound (red) keeps allowing voltages above it, which effectively inverts the output.
I decided to add a visual display so the user could keep track of what’s going on without needing a scope.

Grande Compare3 is now available in the VCV Rack Library.
I had to move the visual display to the left side so it wouldn’t be blocked by the knob’s tooltips, and I added a button to select between windowed mode, only lower threshold up, and only upper threshold down.
