When using the standalone version of VCV 1 on my MacBook Pro (Fairly recent but not M1), I had to limit the framerate in the config file to prevent my MacBook from bursting into flames. There doesn’t appear to be an option for this in the VST version. The VST version in Ableton Live causes my MacBook to run very hot and run the fans at full speed. Is there a solution? I wish I could have tried a demo before burning $100 on this.

Found this old post. It mentions changing color profile to minimize resources spent on color space conversions:
Setting => Display => Color => choose “sRGB IEC61966-2.1”
