I know it’s possible to put it through Quantum but I feel like I’m missing something, is there not a standard way to get a gate from a v/oct signal?
You could put it through quantum to get a gate on change but I think most times I get a gate from another source. Maybe I get it from a sequencer (which may output v/oct and gate) or clock or square wave lfo or something similar. Usually it is not derived from the same signal as the pitch.
I see, I suppose I’ll look at using a dedicated sequencer set at the right times then. I thought there might have been some kind of logic function or something that might work.
You can use AS’s CV 2 Trigger for this I guess
I had some fun passing signals through HetrickCV Analog to Digital for this purpose.
Or use the Hetrick Comparator for triggers and/or Gates
Hetrick’s Delta generates a trigger or a gate on each voltage change. It’s been invaluable to me.
You could give Repelzen retrig a try?
I believe you could use a sample and hold.
