meh, so in essence, anything coming in through ES9 for example to use vcv as a scope will have an offset and wont track through the v/o, rendering the primal function of ES9 useless?

No electronic equipment was ever made that didn’t alter the voltage ever so slightly (or a lot). It’s inevitable and you need to calibrate for accurate results. And no, it definately does not make the ES-9 useless, in fact it’s the best audio interface for the job that exists.
