Hi @jtsoundtech, I’m glad you are having fun with my stuff! You are doing some chaotic modulation!

The best way to understand the curves is to see them graphed in 3D space. You can use Sapphire Tricorder module, placed to the right of any Sapphire chaos module, to graph what it is doing. I usually find Tricorder essential for tuning chaos modules when I create a new patch. After I get things working the way I like, I typically delete most or all of the Tricorders to save patch area.

The chaos formulas all make different shapes, and the shape changes with the CHAOS knob.

The quickest way to get a good understanding is to watch Omri Cohen’s videos about my chaos modules:

Also take a look at the Zoo documentation and the overall documentation for my chaos modules.

A generative low-key suspense theme for your Friday night.

Here is the patch: urban_surveillance.vcv (12.3 KB)

I’m having lots of fun with Venom XM-OP. I found I can mutually cross-modulate a pair of them. So far the damage to the spacetime manifold is minor and mostly under control. Patch is here.

Nice!

You are using the same external ASR envelope for both XM-OP instead of using the built in ADSR envelopes. I think you should be able to eliminate the AD/ASR and use the XM-OP ADSR(s) instead.

One option is to setup the ADSR on both XM-OP the same, patch the gate to both GATE inputs, and activate the level envelope button for both.

The other option is to use the built in ADSR for one only, patching the gate to the GATE input and enabling the level envelope button. Then patch that module’s ENV out to the Level input on the other XM-OP.

Very cool! I like having an integrated envelope generator like that. I got it working like this:

Update: Now I understand the ENV light above LEVEL. Even nicer!

Here is my creative session for tonight. I used the new GAIN knob in Sapphire Echo at the beginning and ending of the recording to fade out before the delay. Echo’s TIME knob is set to 0.875 = 7/8, which creates a fun rhythmic interval at high feedback settings.

Here is a compact drone patch with a deep stereo field and ever-changing texture. Also shows using the new Insert Tricorder button on Zoo:

I’m having fun with the CV Funk Alloy oscillator. With some filter and reverb, it can make some pretty cool cello sounds.

That does sound good!
