Do you have a Valentine DAW!? (Besides VCV?)

i haven’t started to look at the ReaPack stuff, but some of the addons seem amazing !

Anyone tried LMMS? I really want to check it out at some point.

i did, back in the day when i was still on linux, but it is very limited. at least then there was no way to record audio input, just the output of whatever plugins your were using within lmms.

if you want to go open source, i recommend looking at ardour instead.

sadly reaper is not open source, but it is the most flexible and stable daw i have found. at least they don’t treat their customers as criminals, so no drm shenanigans.

I forgot to mention one other interesting piece of software that was on its way to becoming my Valentine until VCV-Rack showed up…Cantabile:

For really opening up VST-land, this package does the job. Sadly for Cantabile, so does Host and Host-FX!

Im testing the new Bitwig update 3.2 beta 2. Making a generative patch without using the grid, kinda fun. Great DAW! Besides VCV and Renoise.
