I did mention one that I did - a global cache of dynamically generated data (lookup tables, filter coefficients). I don’t think anyone could imagine all the place they could be used. I also use a static for the “fake clipboard” that Seq++ uses to copy and paste data between instances. I’m sure you can think of many more.
Indeed, all sorted now. It appears that many years of no coding has side effects, for me at least, total brain fart there
