Custom components SVG best practice

Hello,
what is the best practice to create a new component SVG in terms of size?
In the past I used to start defining the size in px, but nowadays the Rack manual suggests to create the panel SVG with the actual Eurorack size in mm. So what should be the best for knobs, sliders, etc.?
Millimiters or pixels?

Has to convert from mm to px anyway doesn’t it. Is there any difference?

You can try, but good luck. When you run into issues, please don’t waste anyone’s time with bug reports or questions.

How would there be issues or bugs using floats and the native px coordinates?
