Boscomac in VCV?

A few years ago I was working with Reaktor Blocks. One of the modules I really liked was an effect unit called Stellar by Boscomac. It was a bit of a black box to me at the time, not sure what was happening behind the scenes. Is there a version of it somewhere in VCV, or does anyone know what the effects systems were that could be reproduced by other chains of modules?

According to here: Boscomac, free collection of 50 Gadget-style instruments and FXs for Reaktor 6

Stellar was a “multi-program shimmer reverb with built-in phaser, tremolo…”

I don’t know what follows the ellipsis, and I have barely used Reaktor ever; but I know you could try could try building your own out of separate modules; hopefully this will help:

Reverb modules with shimmer capabilities: Sanguine Mutants Etesia in Oliverb mode; Supercell in Oliverb mode as well, probably others.

Phasers from Surge XT and Autodafe are available, among many others.

Examples of Tremolos are available from Squinky Labs and Ambivalent Instruments, that one is new, among others.

Disclaimer: I am the maker of Sanguine Mutants.

Tremelo must be the easiest effect to make in modular, it’s just a VCA with an LFO. Bosh!

You can make shimmer too, by sticking any reverb into a pitch shifter and using a mixer to patch the pitch-shifted output back into the reverb input.

I’ve made a couple of tutorials on this, but Etesia is a great option too.

There is an elegant variation on the vanilla tremolo effect and easy as well to patch:

Patch an inverted LFO + 10V offset to the VCA CV. Now the sound’s default is open (instead of silent) and the LFO is subtracted. Slightly more subtle and you can control tremolo depth very elegantly by controlling the amount of LFO signal that is subtracted (depth)
