Automatic Note Quantizing

I’m a complete novice when it comes to Modular and VCV Rack as a whole, so I was wondering if I could get some advice. I figured out how to get a polyphonic signal through the VCV MIDI module and can play chords but for some reason it only allows me to play diatonic chords (Major 7th, Minor 7th, etc), any other voicings like Min Maj7, it doesn’t track the extended voice. Any way to change that??

Or, if that doesn’t help, you’re probably using a QWERTY keyboard for input, and not a MIDI keyboard - your keyboard may limit the number of keys you can press at the same time (rollover).

The number of keys that can be detected may also depend on which keys are pressed.

5 poly notes from a keyboard

Playing an external keyboard with MIDI-CV as the interface I can only get notes from 5 keys at a time, whatever settings I use for Polyphonic Channels or Polyphony Mode. I’ve tried other MIDI interface modules (MTS-ESP from OddSound, MIDI Poly+MPE from moDllz) and get the same result. Is this a MIDI thing? It’s not a problem - if that’s the way it is then ok but would like to know. Forgive my ignorance.
