So, I purchased a USB food pedal second hand with the intention of somehow utilizing it for audio creation / manipulation. It was built with the intended purpose of being used for dictation/transcription (I presume in a legal setting or similar).
Currently the most I’ve managed to get out of it, using some old relevant software I managed to dig up: I can assign either of the two pedals to a keyboard shortcut (multiple keys simultaneously), or mouse clicks.
Whilst not useless, it would be much more useful if there was a solution for it to somehow output MIDI (or perhaps even if there is a module that allows for keyboard shortcuts as a performance based interactive element).
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated. Here’s a link to the product:
You could also experiment with 8Face or Transit (also by Stoermelder) with this, so you can create custum parameter/presets control with a gate or trigger. All modules have a clear manual on their resp website.
