Any way to disable stackable inputs?

Is there a way to disable stackable inputs manually? (I.e. settings.json or something.)

What for would that be usefull?

To avoid my confusion.

Iā€™m old-fashioned and behind the times.

But if thereā€™s no way to do it, Iā€™ll learn to live with it.

So, is there a way?

Maybe use an older version of VCV Rack that doesnā€™t feature stackable inputs.

I would just not use them.

And Iā€™m too an old-fashioned guy,
I use the stackable inputs very rarely just
because I donā€™t remember that they are there.

yes, but wasnā€™t some UI action changed the allow for stackable inputs? I seem to remember that was the case, and that was why ppl canā€™t ā€œjust not use themā€. But I donā€™t know the detailsā€¦

The keycommand to copy a cable changed indeed. Cause you can now copy cables either from the input or the output end (leaving the other end attached). Used to be only one of those copies existed. Maybe change the established one wasnā€™t the best move, but also not the end of the world. Easy to get used to, Iā€™ve found.

But yeah the stackable cables seem to not be for everyone. I find it super handy but I can see why some donā€™t. Indeed you canā€™t disable it so ā€œdonā€™t use itā€ is the best youā€™ll get I guess.
